Although some knowledge of Japanese is helpful, it is not required as employment opportunities for English speakers are readily available. Your resume must be submitted in English. The minimum age limit is 18 for SWAP Japan; however, we recommend that you wait until you are 20 before applying.

The likelihood of finding work is better once you have reached Japan's age of majority.

Accommodation upon arrival: Two nights' accommodation at a hostel or budget hotel in Tokyo.
