Among the easiest travel destinations of its Asian counterparts, Thailand is filled with aesthetic charms from the heaven-on-earth beaches to the glittering golden chedis to the prowling tigers in dense tropical jungles. Throughout Thailand, mouth-watering cuisine will be your sustenance, delightfully warm people will be your companions, and a smile will be your currency. After all, they don't call it “Amazing Thailand” for nothing .

Position description
  • Teach in Thailand placements are at either Primary or Secondary schools with the option of teaching at both levels in many institutions. Placements are available in a wide range of urban and rural locations throughout Thailand, though most placements are made in the Central and Northern provinces. Placements are driven by the demand for English-speaking teachers and the requirements of each host institution, so CIEE cannot guarantee to honor your placement requests.

  • A typical teaching load is 22 classes per week, depending on the school. In addition to actual time spent in the classroom, participants are expected to devote time to class planning, presentations, faculty meetings, and a modicum of extra-curricular activities. Participants should assume a 35-40 work week.
