What type of jobs are available if my German is pretty basic (or less..)? Participants with limited (or none) German skills often find work in teaching English, tutoring English, working with children as a caregiver or in summer camps (in English), some in the tourism industry working with English speaking tourists (e.g. ski instructor, tour guide, etc) or in Irish Pubs.

Positions in teaching French are available occasionally, but usually not as many as for teaching English.

Do I need qualifications or work experience to teach English in Germany? While a certification or previous experience in teaching English will be a definite advantage or even a requirement to work in many of the language schools, most places offering tutoring or childcare will just be happy to have an English native speaker on site. (Experience working with children will be an advantage).
