Can I apply for SWAP Ireland Student or Non-Student if I'm not in Canada?
No. It is the rule of the Irish Embassy that you are in Canada the entire time of your visa processing.

If I already booked my flight to Ireland is it possible for me to still participate in the SWAP
programme?
Yes but keep in mind your Travel Cuts Agent can charge up to $100 CAD service fee for booking your flight elsewhere

Is it mandatory to purchase your flight arriving in Dublin? You can purchase your flight to arrive anywhere in Ireland, but keep in mind you must attend your orientation in Dublin.

Can I purchase a one way ticket? Yes.

Can I bring my children with me on my Working Holiday? NO. Not on the SWAP Program.

How much money should I bring with me? This depends on your personal spending habits. You should have $2,500.00 in your bank account for emergency situations.

Is it mandatory to attend the Orientation? Yes. The Orientation covers vital information about jobs, job search strategies, accommodation, paying taxes, setting up your bank account. It's always helpful to get tips from locals about areas to avoid and best places to live and much much more

When does the visa start? For the Ireland Visa the participant chooses the date their visa begins, but they may not enter Ireland until this date, and it cannot be issued more the 4 months in advance.
