FAQ registration
How early should I register? When you register will depend on the country you are interested in.

Is it difficult to register for SWAP? The registration process is not competitive (except for our SWAP USA program, where visas are limited). We are looking for participants who are mature, independent and want to discover more about the world. Our participants are not only ambassadors of our program; they are representatives of Canada.

How will I know if my registration is successful? If you meet all requirements and have correctly completed all documents, you should receive your Welcome Pack (this pack contains visa forms and various documents to help you apply for your visa) on the spot! If for some reason you did not receive your Welcome Pack at this time, simply give your travel counsellor a call in three business days to check on the status of your application.

What do I do after I have successfully registered for SWAP? Once you have your Welcome Pack read over all the information included so you know how to fill out your visa application forms, when to hand them in, how to prepare and pack for your trip, etc. The next important step is to carefully complete the necessary visa forms, submit them on time and book your flight. That’s when we’ll take over and obtain your visa, book your arrival accommodation and orientation.
